Pakistan thump Maldives to record first victory after eight years

LAHORE: Pakistan women’s football team thumped Maldives by 7-0 in their final group stage game of the SAFF Women’s Championship in Nepal and bagged their first-ever victory in eight years.
Rameen Fareed became the opener and scored 1st goal in the 39th minute, right after 9 minutes; Khadija Kazmi provided a lead of 2-0 to the national side.

The streak of goals continued in the second half as well when Nadia Khan played magnificently and gave a tough time to the women of Maldives by scoring four goals in the 53rd, 78th, 84th, and 89th minute, respectively and became the first ever Pakistani to score 4 goals in a women’s international match.

Anmool Hira also participated in the team victory and scored 7th goal in additional time.
