Unstoppable start: Pakistani Sultans and Afghanistan Eagles dominate in opening matches in ACL U19 2024

SYDNEY: Second Edition of Aussie Cricket League U19 2024 begins in North Dalton Park, Sydney on  Sunday.

Fist day it was sunny and double header day, Pakistani Sultans and Afghanistan Eagles secured victories in spectacular season opener.

Afghanistan VS Sydney Mavericks

Afghanistan Eagles defeated Sydney Mavericks comfortably by 27runs. After batting first Afghanistan Eagles scored 158 and set a big total of 159 for Eagles. From Afghanistan Eagles side Jake Smith scored brilliant half century and scored 55 from 49 balls. Nitesh Samuel made37 and Dave Dubey contributed of 25 runs.

Sydney Mavericks struggles in start and Afghan bowlers dominated all over the game and Sydney Mavericks all out at 131 so Afghanistan Eagles won by 27 runs and got two crucial points in table.

Pakistani Sultans VS Indian Tigers

Second match of day one played between Pakistani Sultans and Indian Tigers, in which Pakistan won easily by 23 runs. After winning toss India decided to bowl first, Pakistani openers have a great start of 42 runs.

With the help of Rehan Farooq’s 44, 26 of Afzaal Sadiq and with the contributions of Hasnain 24, Pakistan set a target of 146 runs.

Pakistani bowlers given extraordinary performance and destroyed Indian batting line, Indian lower order shown some resistance but that was not enough.

Indian Tigers scored just 122 for 8 in total 20 over and lost by Pakistan by 23 runs. Quick fire of Rehan Farooq’s 44 runs boost Pakistani innings and due to this he declared Man of the Match.
