Pakistan dominated second day of first test as well

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan also nominated second day of the first Test between Pakistan and Australia in pindi Cricket stadium Rawalpindi.

Pakistan declared the first innings at 476 for four. Azhar Ali scored 185 and Imam-ul-Haq 157 runs. Former captain Azhar Ali made a century and adopted the style of Fawad Alam for the celebration which was well received by all. Azhar Ali hit 3 sixes and 15 fours.

Opener Imam-ul-Haq was dismissed for 157. Imam’s innings included two maxmiums and 16 fours. Abdullah Shafiq scored 44, Babar Azam 36, While Mohammad Rizwan 29 and Iftikhar Ahmed 13 runs remained unbeaten and Pakistan declared their innings at 476 runs.

For Australia, Pat Cummins, Nathan Lyon and Marnus Labuschagne taken 1, 1 wickets. Australia’s innings could only be one over and the match was called off early due to poor lights, while the match will start ten minutes ahead of time on the third day.

Before the start of the second day’s play, players from both teams wore black bandanas to pay tribute to Shane Warne and prayed for the martyrs of the Peshawar victims and observed a minute of silence.
