LAHORE: Aayat Asmi, a young chess prodigy from Pakistan, has clinched the bronze medal in the under 12 category at the World Chess Championship 2023 held in Aktau, Kazakhstan.
She is a student of Learning Alliance School. She becomes the first Pakistani girl to secure a medal in an international chess tournament.
Officials of Pakistan Chess Federation Raja Gohar, Saleem Akhtar, along with family and friends warmly received her to celebrate a Pakistani milestone at the Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore.
