New Zealand departure for Pakistan, will play five T20 and 5 ODIs against Pakistan

CHRISTCHURCH: Shane Jurgensen – Head coach for the T20 series in Pakistan speaking on departure from Christchurch today.

Jurgensen will lead the coaching staff for the five-game T20 series alongside batting coach Luke Ronchi & former Pakistan coach Saqlain Mushtaq who is assisting for the tour.

Regular coach Gary Stead will join the tour ahead of the fourth T20 in Rawalpindi on April 20.

Dane Cleaver, Cole McConchie & Blair Tickner have joined the T20I touring squad, with Tim Seifert returning home to Hamilton as planned to await the birth of his first child.

The T20 squad will fly via Australia and onto Dubai where they will have a 15 hour stop-over before reaching Lahore early on Tuesday morning local time.

Tom Blundell and Henry Nicholls will depart NZ on April 21 to join the ODI squad for the five-game series starting in Rawalpindi on April 27.
