MELBOURNE: The Strikers will play either Scorchers or Sixers when the BBL|13 finals begin in under a week.
Adelaide Strikers have snapped up fourth spot, confirming their participation in the KFC BBL|13 finals after defeating Sydney Thunder in Canberra on Sunday.
The win locks Matt Short’s side into the top four and knocks out Melbourne Stars, who faltered with a loss to the seventh-placed Melbourne Renegades on Saturday.
The only regular-season match with any relevance is now the Perth Scorchers-Sydney Sixers clash on Tuesday, with the winner to take second spot and earn a double chance.
The Heat have already locked in top spot and will host the Qualifier final on the Gold Coast after opening up an unassailable lead at the top of the standings.
Monday night’s BBL action will see Melbourne Stars host Hobart Hurricanes in what is now a dead rubber for the team in green.
