RAWALPINDI: First day of first test dominated by Pakistan at Pindi Stadium Rawalpindi on Friday.
After winning the toss Pakistan scored 245 runs for 1 at stamps of first day. Pakistani openers given strong start of 105 when Abdullah Shafiq lost the hope at individual 44 score.
Ex Captain and most experience player Azhar Ali joins the party and still at wickets with 64 runs.
The best thing of the match was Imam ul Haq maiden ton, He scored 100 in his 3rd test. Imam is still at wicket at 132.
After great start and top order great performance Pakistan is in strong position. With that race Pakistan may put 55+ runs on board in first innings.
Only wicket for Australia got by Nathan Lyon, who considered 87 runs in his 31 overs.The Rawalpindi Test saw the historic return of the Australian team to Pakistan after a gap of 24 years, with packed crowd in the Stadium, clapping and cheering for the visitors.
