LAHORE: Athletics Federation of Pakistan’s 04 athletes namely Shajar Abbas, Abdul Mueed, Sharoz Khan & Muhammad Yasir have participated in 2nd Imam Reza International Athletics Championships on 29-30 May 2022 at Mashhad, Iran.
The performance of Pakistan athletics team was outstanding and historical. The athletes won 5 medals, and got 3rd position in the tournament. They created 2 new national records in the events of 200m & 400m. Details are as under:

Coaches Qazi Tanveer Hussain and Rana Sajjad Ahmad Khan accompanied the athletes. Other participants in the competition were from Iran, Iraq, Oman, Qatar, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan.
Maj Gen Muhammad Akram Sahi (Retd), President AFP and Muhammad Zafar, Secretary General have congratulated the wining athletes and entire athletics family of Pakistan on this achievement.
Athletics team will arrive Lahore, Pakistan on 01 June 2022 at 7:20am.
