LAHORE: Pakistani children compete in an international Championship 2022 for the first Time.
Pakistani children Ayat Asmi and Azad Asmi participated in the Western Asian Youth Chess Championship 2022, which was held at Maldives from 15-23 June 2022.
It is for the first time that the Pakistani children have competed for this international champion. They played in under 10 category and made 3.5 and 4 points in rapid and standard games respectively.
The championship was organized by the Maldives Chess Federation under the auspices of Asian Chess Federation.
The duo of Ayat Asmi and Azad Asmi were selected by the Pakistan Chess Federation after winning in national rankings.
